The Machine Girl. Japanese Splatter Cinema at its finest.

The Machine Girl! Ohhh boy, this is one I have been excited to see for a long time as it is from the guys who would later create one of my favorite films of all time Tokyo Gore Police. The Machine Girl did not disappoint, this is one of the finest modern exploitation films I have seen in a long time. Guns, Ninjas, surprisingly disturbing moments and enough blood to make any Gore-hound break into spasms of ecstasy.

The Machine Girl follows a girl named Ami. The daughter of two convicted murderers. Though they were innocent, they committed suicide leaving her and her younger brother Yu alone. Ami does her very best to take care of her brother. Unfortunately Yu and his friend get mixed up with the young son of a Yakuza family. Unable to pay their debts, the two are murdered. Ami sets out for revenge, but is captured, tortured and her left arm is sliced off. After barely escaping with her life, she is taken in by the parents of her brothers friend, who also thirst for vengeance. The two mechanics then build for her a machine gun arm and with that, they tool up for battle against Yakuza, ninja`s and a Yakuza woman in a Drill Bra.

This film is an absolute delight to behold. It has everything. Revenge, martial arts, ninjas, torture, lots and LOTS of blood and even a Flying Guillotine! What else could you possibly want!? It`s perfect. A new favorite of mine. I cannot wait to indulge more of these guys`s films as between this and Tokyo Gore Police I think I have found my soulmates!
